The days have gotten longer. I couldn’t be any happier. ☀️
Personal website? Or no personal website?
It’s now been over five years since I started working as a product / interaction designer. I never got around to making a personal website. I have built websites for other businesses, individuals and studios. But somehow, when it came to myself, I never got around it. I have somehow managed to sell myself and my work through the classic PDF portfolio.
Now, this is not to say that personal websites don’t work. In fact, it doesn’t matter whether you have a website or not. I believe as long as you can convey a compelling story through your work about your journey, your process, and your craft, it probably doesn’t matter whether the medium is a PDF, a Youtube video, or even a series of medium blog posts.
However, I must say that there are a ton of tools out there that make building your online presence a lot easier. Some of the recent ones I have come across are Bento and read.cv.
