Hey there!
I am looking for a good keyboard to get. Have you got one?

The keyboard conundrum
I spend most of my awake hours in front of a computer. I use it to do work that pays bills, and I use it to create and consume content. I am in that position in life where I have to write — a lot. From daily emails to instructions, product documentation, and ultimately to this newsletter, writing has become an integral part of my work now more than ever.
However, I am failing to find the perfect keyboard that serves me well in writing. Also, it’s not just writing. It’s working on design tools and software where the keyboard should suit my hand size, so that my left thumb can sit on ‘cmd’ while the index and pinky fingers can reach the ‘tab’ or ‘T’ keys comfortably.
I like Apple’s magic keyboard a lot. I have used them for years. The key travel is just perfect. Their battery life is great too. But now I require to have a keyboard that can connect to different devices seamlessly. I particularly am not fond of the mechanical keyboards that have been showing up on #productivespaces and #workspacesetups lately. As of now I am settling with Logitech K380, as it’s the only one that’s affordable, falls in the magic keyboard form factor, and connects to multiple devices.
Anyone got better suggestions? Let me know in the comments, or reply to this mail.
Good reads
Wordle UX — Sometimes a game just feels good. This article speaks every bit I want to say about wordle. It feels good when we guess the right word. It feels good when we share our score with everyone and we see how everyone else guessed the same word. Everyone’s wordle has a different story to tell, and it’s one common thing that somehow has gotten us closer in spite of our cultural or regional differences.
Designer as writer — As I said earlier, my role involves quite a bit of writing. This article sheds light on principles attributed to both good writing and design.
What’s in a good error message? — This one’s for designers, developers, and everyone in tech. It lays light on what goes into crafting a good error message that’s understandable and guides users towards taking the next best action.
