Hey there!
I run three Instagram accounts. None of them have a product-market fit.

The tinkerer urge
A few weeks back I wrote about my early encounters with the still-nascent tech that enabled VR/AR. The tinkerer urge has been around since childhood, where I have this need of opening up electronics to understand how it all works and try to repair them if needed, to prolong their shelf life. In the process, however, I've ended up spoiling a lot of my devices too.
Lately, I've been itching to get back to tinkering. Just last week I flew with my mid-2011 iMac from Delhi. I had taken it there to use as my personal computer. This computer has been my ship of Theseus of sorts. Over time, I upgraded the RAM, replaced the SSD and GPU. And it works just as well as it did on Day one, which was more than 10 years back! I've always been skeptical to mess with Apple devices. But now that this one is ten years old, and thanks to a friend's recommendation, after seeing this Youtuber's videos, I am quite excited to open it up. It's amazing how some of the Apple devices stand the test of time and can work literally for decades!
Recently I also got two reusable 35mm AF film cameras for free from a guy who deals in pre-owned electronics. I am hoping to fix and revive them, to start clicking photos the old-school way. I'll keep you'll posted on how it all goes!
In the meantime, I've been trying to read and understand Metaverse and Web3, and the challenges that we, as designers need to consider when designing for these domains. Hence, expect a lot of links around these topics in the coming issues.
